Take a Chill Pill on Polls

Remember -- in periods when we are not in an election campaign, the polls are merely a reflection of news coverage. And that is rarely good for the GOP.

Let me repeat -- the polls on George W. Bush( to the extent they are even accurate) say more about the news media than they do about President Bush.

Yes, but...

with constant negative coverage, regardless of the source, when it finally does come time to poll the citizenry, THEY are under the impression that it's all bad, because that's all they've heard.

I agree with that Greg, but those who have used the polls to predict that 2006 will be the GOP equivalent of 1994 to the Dems are missing that point. When in campaign mode, the GOP has ads and organization to counteract the MSM message.

As I pointed out before, the MSM is least effective during campaigns and most effective at slanting attitudes at times such as these.
