Stupid, Ignorant or Liar?

David Ignatius of the Washington Post was on PBS news show last evening (I only saw this my daughter had watched Barney earlier in the day and the TV was on that channel when I turned it on). In the few moments I watched, he repeatedly said that Iraq was a complete mess. In fact, he said that the mess keeps getting worse every month. Finally, regarding the elections, he said that the newly elected government might be able to garner the support of the Iraqi people at the end of four years if it could be viewed as having liberated Iraq from occupation by the US.

In the future, the early part of the 21st century will be regarded by historians and journalism scholars as the dark ages where corruption and incompetence dominated the news media. And helped create the impetus for the revolution in news which saw the old news media dinosaurs destroyed.
